Advice and Support

The following organisations offer various support packages to businesses investigating microgeneration.  Click on the logos for further information, and to access support for your business.




Business Environment Partnership - offers free advice and support to Scottish businesses, covering a range of environmental management issues. The service is client-led, and can include signposting to other agencies.  The BEP can offer a free site review and detailed cost-benefit assessment of different microgeneration applications.




Renewables Connection - a newly established project based in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire which provides free advice and support to householders, community groups and businesses looking to install microgeneration technologies.



Energy Saving Trust - offers free energy efficiency advice and support to SME's, which can include an assessment of different microgeneration technologies. The Trust also publish and make freely available a wide range of best practice guidance and information on low carbon energy management.



Carbon Trust - offers free energy efficiency, low carbon design and renewable energy advice and support, primarily to larger energy users (>£50K per annum energy spend).  This can include free assessment of different microgeneration technologies. The Trust also publish and make freely available a wide range of best practice guidance and information on low carbon energy management.
